Low acid orange juice introduced

10/25/2000-The Minute Maid Company has found an alternative for people who find orange juice too acidic with the introduction of Minute MaidŽ Premium Low Acid. The new juice has a portion of the citric acid removed, but is said to maintain its good taste and nutrition. "Minute Maid Premium Low Acid orange juice is a welcome alternative for individuals who avoid orange juice because they believe it causes discomfort or heartburn," said Molly Gee, M.Ed., R.D., nutrition consultant, The Minute Maid Company. In addition to the low acid juice, Minute Maid introduced Minute MaidŽ Premium Extra Vitamins C and E plus Zinc orange juice earlier this month. Each eight-ounce glass of this new orange juice provides 240 % of the Daily Value (DV) for vitamin C, 100 % of the DV for vitamin E, and 10 % of the DV for zinc.
