Irradiation approved for seed sprouts


10/30/2000-The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of ionizing radiation to control microbial pathogens in seeds for sprouting. This action is in response to a petition filed by Caudill Seed Co., Inc.
