Snapper Alicante
Recipe Submitted by: Mike Bersell
Revised: June 17, 1999

The Columbia Restaurant  is a tradition in my family.  My great grandfather, Joseph LaCalle visited the restaurant whenever he got even remotely near the Tampa area.  My children are  the 5th generation of LaCalle desendents to dine there, and my mother makes sure everyone knows when we arrive!

Serves 20

In a shallow braiser, layer

10 pound Fresh Red Snapper filets
10 Onions, cut into round slices
20 Green Peppers, cut into rings
5 cups Olive Oil
2 Tbl. Salt
pinch White Pepper
5 cup Brown Sauce
5 cup White Wine
2 cups Almonds

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Garnish each serving with 2 Shrimp Supreme and 2 Breaded Eggplant slices.
