Wash and core apples. Pare down about one
fourth of the way from the top.
Place in baking pan, pared side up.
Mix sugar, water, butter and cinnamon. Pour
over apples. Baste occasionally while cooking
to glaze.
Bake at 350º until tender when
tested
with a pointed knife.
